Steve is not the revenge type, but Dennis is! In this Pizza Bros episode, Dennis has been stewing a looooong time about Cycle Pizza. He finally decides that their inconvenience and trouble some ways are enough! So the inspiration for this episode is what would Dennis do if he extracted revenge…he gets it, but it also back fires.
Difficulties
So the most difficult part of illustrating this episode was definitely creating motion using pixel art while Dennis is driving down the street. Not only was there movement from driving, there was also a cyclist, mud splashing, and wind shield fluid movement. There is a lot going on visually in these pixel art scenes.
Comedy Writing and Pixel Art Coming Together
When we were writing this episode of Pizza Bros, we were thinking about what could go wrong with Dennis’s revenge against Cycle Pizza. What would happen if his plan were to backfire? And that’s exactly how we decided to wrap up this episode.
Most Fun to Create
The most fun to illustrate in this episode of Pizza Bros was the very beginning where Dennis is in his top secret lab. Having him “evil” laugh and lightening flash behind him was super fun to create visually using pixel art.
