The inspiration for this story was two-fold. One: Corporate always implements redundant dumb shit to make everyone (especially there bosses or the general public) think they are doing something. I.e. Replacing the Pizza Bros uniform with exact replicas, but cheaper material that makes all of their front line employees miserable. Two: The pot brownie story was a real life inspiration. While it did not directly happen to us, we were told a story of it happening by a co-worker at a previous location she worked at. How could we not write about it!!??
Difficulties
The difficulty creating pixel art for this episode was in illustrating all the rashes on everyone’s different skin tones and being consistent in their irritability with being so uncomfortable.
Comedy Writing and Pixel Art Coming Together
Debbie thinking everyone is on drugs because the new uniforms are itchy and making everyone miserable is hilarious. It couldn’t possibly be the uniforms! It has to be the drugs! LOL! Illustrating her upper management training in pixel art also helped to tell the story.
Most Fun to Create
The most fun to create was everyone being high after eating the pot brownies. Making sure everyone’s eyes were pink was hilarious to illustrate. Also, the ending scene with Debbie having the “munchies” and eating the best pizza she’s ever had, had us rolling every time we read it.
