Inspired by real life events, this Pizza Bros episode is a slight exaggeration of what happened when “real life” Bill lost his pizza tracker and “real life: Ed had to hunt it down!
Difficulties
The biggest difficulty was drawing the Real PD scene. Luckily, I, Ryan, have experience shooting video. So, it helped me imagine what Ed would look like on a body cam.
Comedy Writing and Pixel Art Coming Together
In this episode, Ed goes above and beyond to keep himself and his bank account out of trouble with his upper management. Imagine yourself in this situation. Would you go chase down that car topper? Or would you say that’s their problem not mine? Ed made it his problem because the Pizza Bros company was going to hold him financially responsible for the device.
Most Fun to Create
“Wait? Why is Ed on tv?” That scene was the most fun to write and illustrate. Can you imagine turning around and seeing your boss get arrested on live tv when you just saw him in the store a few minutes prior? SOOOOOO FUNNY!
